HOW TO DESIGN A HAMMAM INTERIOR?

IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT HAMMAM AND HOW TO BUILD IT RIGHT

The hammam's construction and insulation will determine how much energy you use and how comfortable you are. Indeed, proper insulation will reduce the use of the generator and, as a result, your hammam's energy costs. Luxury Antonovich Design uses the same material for the insulation and construction of the hammam:  high density expanded polystyrene hard foam panel is a solid material that permits good heat retention in the hammam. Luxury Antonovich Design is offering a complete service for hammam and spa interior design. Let us get to know the important hammam facilities which are being conducted by Luxury Antonovich Design.

This material may be coated with tiles or conventional plaster due to its water-repellent cement covering incorporated in a fiberglass weave.

HAMMAM INTERIOR DESIGN

Imagine the course of a drop of water on the ceiling, on the wall, or along a seat to establish the design of your hammam.

- The ceiling should have a slight slant to it. The dome or pyramid, which are more elegant and artistic, are also recommended.

- To drain the condensation to the trap, the benches and the floor must be sloped.

- A siphon with a water trap, similar to a shower, must be installed on the floor. br> - An inner gutter can be installed to collect condensation water from the ceiling and link it to the hammam drain.

THE HAMMAM VENTILATION STYSTEM

It is critical to have excellent hammam ventilation in order to breathe comfortably and maintain a constant mist in the air. In addition, to minimize moisture-related issues, the full amount must be dried after use.

Luxury Antonovich Design always manages to design home hammams with only a 2 cm gap under the door to let air enter.

We recommend installing a hammam air extractor (VMC) of 18 m3/h per occupant in hammams that are open to the public, via a specialized extractor fan in the technical room connected to a suction mouth in the bottom portion of the hammam.

THE HEATING SYSTEM FOR THE HAMMAM

Luxury Antonovich Design is using an electric or hot water heating system incorporated into the walls to mildly heat the seats or the walls to improve the hammam's comfort. In any case, be cautious not to overheat; the generator, not the heater, must achieve the desired temperature set point.
